Family camping area? Empty Family camping area?

Post  missnken Tue Mar 30, 2010 10:45 pm

Hello there. We are wondering if you will have a 'family camping area' like at last year's event. I assume no playground at the new venue? We will definitely be heading there. What is the policy on campfires? Last year we noticed some with fire pits. Can we have a fire up off the ground, on the ground, or not at all? That's all I can think of for now! Looking forward to a nice weekend and hoping this rain (and snow today!) gets out of here so we have a nice dry warm weekend!

Yes there will be a family camping area.

Fires are allowed in elevated fire pits only that you must provide. Cook stoves are ok. There will be a community fire-pit on site as well.

Yeah, I was wondering how the campsites would be laid out...

If we're early arrivers on Friday afternoon, we'll be able to choose our spot? You won't be forcing cars to lineup in rows, right?

I'm camping with friends coming from another town, and I'm hoping we can just find each other and setup together whenever people arrive on Friday...

At past events, you've just allowed people to camp wherever and then the late arrivals fill in all the gaps... Hope that's the same plan this year...

The layout is similar to last year. Most of the camping will be in the fields. Of course the, the whole site is bordered by woods, so there are places where a tent can be popped up in the woods as well.
